Women's Rights
Reproductive Healthcare Access: Everyone deserves control over their body and medical decisions, without pressure, stigma, or barriers. Right now, too many women still face real obstacles to basic care, from birth control to family planning. I believe that starts with trust, not politics, and that care should stay between a person and their doctor.
Pay and workplace equity: Women still earn .82 cents for every dollar men earn, less for Black, Latina, and Indigenous women. Solution: Enforce pay transparency laws, strengthen the Equal Pay Act.
Gender-based violence: One in four women experience severe physical violence. Solution: Fully fund the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), support survivor-centered services, and improve data collection.
Maternal health: The U.S. has the highest maternal mortality rate among wealthy nations, especially for Black women. Solution: Extend postpartum Medicaid coverage, train providers in bias reduction, and expand access to midwives and doulas.
Legal equality: The Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) still isn’t fully recognized. Solution: Push for federal certification of the ERA and pass state-level constitutional protections.
